The teams from the World Bank (WB), National Project Coordinating Office (NPCO), Project Support Office-Visayas (PSO-Visayas), Regional Project Coordinating Office-7 (RPCO7) of the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) are now in Bohol for the Visayas Cluster leg of the 17th World Bank Implementation Support Mission from May 2-4, 2024, visiting four project sites under the IREAP and IBUILD Component.
Visited subprojects today, May 2, 2024 were the Bohol Dairy Processing and Marketing Enterprises in Ubay, Bohol, with the Bohol Dairy Cooperative as the proponent group (PG) and the Bohol Silage Production and Marketing Enterprise in San Miguel, Bohol with the First Consolidated Cooperative Along Tañon Seaboards (FCCT) as PG.
During the sites visit, the team look into the progress as well as sustainability of the implemented project, followed with a consultation- dialogue with an open forum.
Both PGs narrated their journeys which include their beginnings or before the PRDP projects, on-going project implementation and upon the completion. Future plans were also shared.
The WB team both praised the PGs for being able to manage the projects well, providing services for the farmers, giving income for the coop and achieving development.
On May 3, 2024, farm-to-market roads in Loon and Balilihan will be visited followed with dialogues.
