IN PHOTOS | Two farmer associations in Siquijor, who are project beneficiaries of the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) of the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas were simultaneously trained on Financial Literacy and Management Training held April 16 to 17, 2024 in two separate venues.

The back-to-back 2-day training, as part of the capability enhancement of the associations will help them educate in managing its finances.

The trained associations were the Orchid Rural Improvement Club in Cabal-asan, Maria, and Bintangan El Paraiso Farmer Association in Bintangan, Larena.

With the knowledge and skills, the members can contribute in the financial decision making and help improve the financial well-being of the associations.

Agnes Guanella M. Cafe, the Officer In-charge Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (OIC-APCO) of the DA-Provincial Agricultural Technology Coordinating Office in Siquijor said, learning is a never an ending process, stressing the importance of knowledge.

“This training is not only beneficial to the group but also in managing personal finances,” she said.

Aside from the 2 associations, other SAAD farmer associations will be trained in the coming days of April.
