IN PHOTOS | Some 14 farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) in the Province of Bohol attended the three-day training on Financial Management and Value Chain Analysis, conducted by the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) thorugh the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) Program.

Held in Tagbilaran City on April 16-18, 2024, the FCAs were trained in basic financial management and literacy to include crafting of financial statements, basic bookkeeping, income statements, and cash inflows.

The FCAs also underwent value chain analysis, as well as assessing the four aspects in managing an business enterprise through SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats). Also included in the topic was on Civil Society Organization (CSO) Accreditation to promote transparency and accountability, and DA programs and enterprise development.

Among the clustered FCAs who participated in the training were GABIBU, Ubay-Malingin Irrigators Association (IA) Inc., Tugas-Candijay IA, Bohol Bagasico IA Inc., Basacan, Bayanihan Multi-purpose Cooperative (MPC), Cantubod Farmers Association, Matin-ao Vegetable Growers Organization, Garcia-Hernandez Farmers Organization (GHFO), Vallehermoso Vegetable Growers Association (VVGA), La Suerte Organic Vegetable Growers Association (LASOVEGA), Kapulungan sa Bol-angon Organikong Mag-uuma (KBOOM), Mantacida United Farmers MPC, and La Victoria Farmers MPC.
