The Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) African Swine Fever Task Force (DA7 ASF TF) convened in a meeting today, June 4, 2024 to discuss and revisit the Administrative Order 30, series of 2021, also known as the Guideline on the recovery and declaration of freedom from ASF for Local Government Units (LGUs).
The agenda included a review of the guidelines for the recovery and declaration of ASF-free status for Local Government Units (LGUs), as well as the development of a workflow for upgrading ASF-free zones and defining the requirements.
Present during the meeting were Dr. Mayolyn Majaducon, DA7 Regulatory division chief; Dr. Julius Galvan, the ASF focal person; Dr. Zeam Voltaire Amper, assistant ASF focal person; Marina Viniegas, APCO Cebu; along with staff from the Regulatory Division and PATCO Cebu.
