Four proponent groups (PGs) from Cebu, who are beneficiaries of the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project-Regional Project Coordination Office-7 (DA-PRDP RPCO7) IREAP Component attended a coordination meeting today, March 11, 2025 at a venue in Cebu City, to discuss updates and status of the implemented subprojects funder under the original loan (OL) and additional financing 2.

Subprojects under the AF2 were the Native Chicken Production and Marketing Enterprises in Moalboal and the Kinatarcan Island Seaweeds Production and Marketing Enterprise of Sta. Fe. Under the OL, the subprojects were United People’s Highland Vegetables Production and Trading Enterprise in Alegria and the Catmon Native Chicken Production and Marketing Enterprise.

In his message, DA7 Regional Technical Director and RPCO7 Deputy Project Director, Engr. Cirilo Namoc shared the experiences of these beneficiaries in crafting their project feasibility studies, making sacrifices in the preparation of the documents, undergoing technical inputting and revisions, until their realization.
In the implementation of subprojects, DPD Namoc said these PGs encountered challenges and problems, and needed to be solved for it to succeed.
He further shared on the best practices and systems, of which the PGs that may emulate.
PRDP main objectives is to help the farmer-beneficiaries increase their income, and to put value-added products to their produce, gearing towards inclusive growth.
Dave Amrinto, shared the rationale of the meeting, discussing the objectives of the projects. Each project, he said must follow what is reflected in the Implementation Management Agreement (IMA).
