The meeting is to discuss collaboration on the proposed Food Safety Forum to be conducted on October 22-25, 2024, as well as the drafting of a comprehensive Food Safety Program.
Among the proposed topics included Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Good Animal Husbandry Practices (GAHP), Good Aquaculture Practices (GAqP), Anti-microbial Resistance (AMR)-NMIS and the responsible use of pesticides and fertilizers.
Present in the discussion were CCCI’s Executive Director Joy Lorena Amador-Segismar and Business Development Officer Karen Joy Autor, and DA7 RTD Wilberto O. Castillo and Regulatory Division Chief Mayolyn R. Majaducon.
The goal was to develop a strategic plan to improve food safety and security in the region.
