IN PHOTOS| Twenty-five (25) farmer cooperatives and associations (FCAs) from cities and municipalities of Negros Oriental, including their respective Local Government Units (LGUs) attended the PRDP Scale Up Orientation held at the Negros Oriental Convention Center in Dumaguete City on April 24, 2025.
The orientation, which was held during the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Program and Services and Farmers Assistance Orientation Forum, is in partnership with the Provincial Project Management and Implementing Unit (PPMIU), aimed to provide opportunities to LGUs and FCAs to access the various available agricultural development services and programs offered by DA.
Albert Lopez, the Enterprise Development and Marketing Specialist of PRDP Regional Project Coordination Office 7 (PRDP RPCO 7) presented the project, to include its background and objectives, project progress, interventions, and strategies for adoption like the clustering and consolidation, among others.
David Amrinto, the AgriBusiness and Marketing Assistance Division(AMAD) marketing head and the I-REAP Component Head of PRDP, discussed the various programs and services of DA’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) as well as the Financial Grants Assistance for Enterprises, Agric-Entrepreneurship Capability Enhancement Assistance (AECEA) of the Sagip Saka Act and the Business Development Assistance (BDA) of the Young Farmers Challenge Program.
