DA7 Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez highlighted the vital role of the research stations in advancing livestock development. She outlined key directives, which include the transformation of research stations into learning hubs for farmers and industry stakeholders, assigning specific commodities for each research station based on regional priorities,
securing official results for the Siquijor native cattle research to support breeding and conservation efforts, enhancing the use of laboratory facilities, and
improving operational efficiency through a comprehensive inventory of functional equipment.

Discussions also covered the distribution of animals from research stations, aligning with station’s targets. This initiative will strengthen the DA’s livestock farms and stations, as this will enable the stations to breed and distribute animals for the farmers, with the goal of increasing the livestock inventory, boost farmers livelihood, and food sufficiency.
