These directives will help achieve the strategic goals for 2025, of which, Director Enriquez, shared that one of the directives is the prioritization of the P20 rice project, which will be launched nationwide, after the successful launching last May 1, 2025 in Cebu City. For the region’s 3 provinces of Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor, the launching will be coordinated with these provinces, with the National Food Authority (NFA) and Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI).

Other directives were also expounded in details, to include the expediting the processing of cold storage, streamlining the guidelines on daily price index (DPI) in compliance to with Republic Act 12022 or Anti Agriculture Sabotage Act, all project proposal to align and conform with the New Government Procurement Act or RA 12009, the monitoring of the Performance Appraisal System (PAS), among others.

With the recent culmination of the election and pronouncement of elected officials, Director Enriquez instructed the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED) and the Admin head to prepare project briefs on various programs and projects of DA for the proposed courtesy visit and LGU shepherding.
