In commemoration of the 122nd Labor Day Celebration, the City Government of Talisay through the City Agriculture Office, in collaboration with other government agencies, a KADIWA para sa Mangagawa was held today, May 1, 2024 at the city’s sports complex.
Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullas Jr. led the cutting of ribbon, together with the representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development-7 (DSWD7), Department of Agriculture-7 (DA7), and the Department of Labor and Employment-7 (DOLE7), among other agencies to officially open the activity.
The KADIWA is a priority project of the adminstration, which aims to help and link the farmers and the micro, small and medium entreprenuers (MSME) directly to the consumers for them to avail of fresh farm produce, processed products and other non-food items at a very reasonable and affordable prices.
Ten farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) participated in the KADIWA.
