In a concerted effort to boost Bohol’s agricultural sector, the Department of Agriculture – Central Visayas (DA7), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) through the Provincial Agriculture Office (OPA), convened yesterday, January 30, 2025, at a venue in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, to discuss proposed projects, activities, and programs for the year. The meeting, which brought together the DA and its attached agencies, as well as the city and municipal agricultural officers, aimed to align efforts for the continued development of the region’s agricultural industry. The gathering served as a platform for the stakeholders to plan and strategize with the ultimate goal of enhancing Bohol’s agricultural sector in 2025. Engr. Cirilo Namoc, Regional Technical Director for Operations, shared the importance of unity in achieving sustainable growth. He highlighted that convergence, cooperation, and coordination between DA7 and it attached agencies, and the province, as the key in advancing agricultural development and promoting synergy in all agricultural programs and initiatives. Also sharing their messages were APCO-Bohol Roman Dabalos and Provincial Agriculturist Liza M. Quirog. Engr. Epifanio Gaudicos Jr., Regional Rice Program Focal, and APCO Dabalos presented reports and updates on the rice, corn, and livestock programs for the province of Bohol, as well as the DA attached agencies.
