In order to produce a regional annual report for 2024, the Department of Agriculture -Central Visayas (DA7) conducted a two-day annual writeshop of accomplishments held on February 27-28, 2025 at a venue in Cebu City.
Representatives from the banner programs, divisions and research stations attended the workshop, for them to produce stories and articles for the annual report.
An annual report is a document reflecting the overall performance of the agency, highlighting the milestone, best practices and outcomes of the interventions provided.
In her message, DA7 Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez, said that the workshop will serve as “levelling off” of stories to write that will tell and inspire the readers of the annual report.
“The annual report should tell a story, how the programs and projects change the lives of the farmers, community and the nations as a whole,” Director Enriquez said.
She cited that SAAD is a good program as it change the lives of the beneficiaries.
“The challenge for you is to present a story that is exciting, inspiring and what are the lessons learned. For you to present that there is money in agriculture, as to develop young agri-preneurs,” she said.
Director Enriquez also shared the discussions during the Technical Review Workshop (TWG) held in Pampanga this week, particularly on identifying agri commodities like mango for Cebu and Ube for Bohol and other crops, where the region has competitive advantage.
