An Indigenous People’s Organization (IPO) in Basay, Negros Oriental able to harvest more cassava tubers, after adopting the cassava production technology introduced to them by the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) though the Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4K).
“Nakita nako nga mas dagko ug daghan ang unod sa mga balanghoy kun mosunod ta sa mga binag-ong teknolohiya,” said Teresita Valor of Barangay Maglinao, Basay Negros Oriental, who is a member of the Bukidnon Magahat Indigenous Cultural Community, an Indigenous People’s Organization (IPO).
(Adopting the right cassava technology, we can produce bigger and more cassava tubers.)
Valor said, she saw and witnessed the benefits of applying the knowledge and skills taught to them.
