Various agricultural and marine products from different towns in Bohol were showcased in the week-long agri-fair, July 14-18, 2025 held at Plaza Rizal, Tagbilaran City.
The agri-fair was formally opened yesterday, (July 14, 2025) which is one of the highlights of the Sandugo Festival event in Bohol,
The Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7), was one of the agencies participating in the agri-fair represented by the Provincial Agriculture Technology Coordinating Office (PATCO) and the DA’s research stations, where it displayed agricultural technologies and books.
In Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado’s message, the agriculture sector remains a priority in his second term and he shared with all stakeholders to strengthen agriculture in Bohol. ”
He also needs to ensure food security due to continued population growth and influx of tourists. Because of this, food security needs to be strengthened and planned, to ensure there is an adequate supply of food for all.
Roman Dabalos, the Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer (APCO) of Bohol at DA7, represented by DA7 Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez, shared that though not a literal blood compact, the alliance between DA7, the province, and other agencies for agriculture in Bohol is strong and lasting. Because of this, much success has been achieved. Hope the partnership will continue for the benefit of farmers and fishermen.
