Bohol farmers receive presidential cash assistance, farm inputs and machineries, Cebu also receives financial assistance from PBBM
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of the P 100-million Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families (PAFFF) today, June 28 2024 held at CPG Complex in Tagbilaran City, Bohol with an estiamted crowd of 10,000..
In the ceremonial distribution, the governors of Bohol and Cebu received the financial assistance of P 50-million each from the President. Likewise, some 20 farmers or 10 farmers from each province also received P10,000 each.
President Marcos, in his message, expressed his commitment, saying “Hindi namin titigilan ang pagsisikap upang maibigay ang inyong mga pangangailangan. Walang sawa kaming magtutupad ng mga programang makakabuti po sa inyo. Magsasagawa kami ng iba’t-ibang proyekto na makakapagbigay ng ginhawa sa inyong buhay, mamumuhunan para sa inyong kapakanan at kasaganahan. Walang maiiwan sa paglalakbay tungo sa mas maliwanag at mas maunlad na bukas.”
“Mga magigiting na mga magsasaka at mangingisda ng Bohol salamat sa marangal na pag hahanap buhay upang ma suportahan hindi lamang ang iyong mga sarili at ang inyong pamilya kung hindi pati ang seguridad ng pagkain sa buong Pilipinas. Kung tayoy ay sama-sama at mag babayanihan walang pagsubok na hindi natin malalampasan at walang pangarap na hindi natin ma tatagumpayan.”
The President was also joined by Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. TUi-Laurel, Jr. and turned over some seeds and fertilizers, coconut seedlings, farm machineries and equipment, fiber glass boats and fishing paraphernalia, and loan programs.
Other government agencies like Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Department of Trade Industry (DTI) also provided and turned over some interventions to their beneficiaries.
Those who attended the occasion received five kilos of rice from the Office of House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
