Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez joined the personnel of DA7’s Bohol Agricultural Promotion Center (DA7 B-APC) in its 40th founding anniversary, as well as conducting an executive meeting, where members were present.
The anniversary was a significant milestone of BAPC as it celebrates its 40th year with the theme “Binhi sa Kagahapon, Bunga sa Karon: 40 ka Tuig sa Pagpalambo ug Pagpalig-on sa Agrikultura” (Seeds of the Past, Fruits of Today: 40 Years of Advancing and Strengthening Agriculture).
The celebration highlighted B-APC’s achievements over the years in advancing agricultural practices and fostering agricultural growth in Bohol.
Director Enriquez shared words of encouragement, emphasizing the importance of the past and present employees of the BAPC.
She said, “as we celebrate the 40th founding anniversary, I would like to recognize the contributions of both past and present members of the BAPC. It is crucial to acknowledge the invaluable efforts of the past members, particularly the retirees, whose research has greatly contributed to the success and development of agriculture in Bohol. To the current members of BAPC, I challenge you to continue advancing and strengthening the agricultural sector in Bohol. Push the boundaries of your research and prove why JICA entrusted BAPC to you. Bohol will always be the rice granary of Central Visayas, and through your research, you will play a pivotal role in improving rice production in the region.”
Keeping the day productive, she presided the execom meeting held at a venue in Tagbilaran City.
Discussions centered on the regional office compliance to the marching orders of Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr., and the strategies in attaining the agency’s targets for CY 2025
