Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) handling the rice commodity from the municipalities of Negros Oriental, together with the suppliers of seeds and fertilizers attended the Rice Technicians and Component Coordinators Midyear Consultative Meeting on May 13-14 , 2024 at a venue in Negros Oriental.

Topics discussed include the Rice Industry Updates, rice situationer by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), update on Climatic Condition (El Nino and La Nina), seeds support updates, status of the rice seed delivery, soil samples collected, NFA palay procurement, AEWs planting and harvesting reports and product presentation of hybrid rice seeds and biofertilizers.

The results of the DS 2023-2024 Biofertilizer Derby in Negros Oriental was presented.
