Some 968 newly enlisted rice farmers in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental recieved their P 5,000.00 cash subsidy from the Department of Agriculture’s Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund – Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (DA RCEF-RFFA) during the roll out disribution, held in the said city.

These rice farmers were newly enrolled in the Registry System for Basic Sector in Agriculture (RSBSA) which were verified and filtered through the Farmers and Fisherfolk Registry System (FFRS).

During the roll out, information of the enlisted farmers were again verified by the private financial partners, the USSC, and once verified for the correctness of entries, the cash assistance of P 5,000.00 were released. Also, these farmers will have their photo capturing for the printing of the Intervention Monitoring Card (IMC) ATM. The IMC will be used in the succeeding years RFFA releases.

Aside from the newly enlisted farmers, some 3,643 farmers who were qualified and had received their IMC also got their cash subsidy, which were automatically loaded in their IMC ATM.

The roll out was attended by the Provincial Governor Manuel Sagarbarria, City Mayor John Raymond, DA7 APCO of Negros Oriental Alejandro Rafal, Provincial Agriculturist Emannuel Caduyac, City Agriculturist Engr. kenneth Artes, Brgy Suba captain SB Members and other officials.
