Some 67 beneficiaries of the Composting Facility for Biodegradable Waste (CFBW) in Bohol attended a training on Agro-Enterprise Development conducted by the Department of Agriculture – Central Visayas (DA7), through its Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED7).

The training held on April 8, and 10 to 11, 2025, in Tagbilaran City aimed to equip the farmers with knowledge on the use of composting facilities and machinery on how to manage biodegradable waste.
Participants were taught on proper composition and mixture of raw materials for rotary composters, kinds of material to use as compost piles to ensure efficiency and quality.

Participants underwent hands-on coaching on simple record-keeping led by the DA-Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) staff, Engr. Mc Reith Rodriguez and Ms. Shaira Cabral.
Another batch of CFBW training to beneficiaries will be conducted next week in Bohol.
