Two completed potable water systems (PWS) funded under the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) with counterpart from the Provincial Local Government of Bohol amounting to P12.73 million were turned over to the recipient island barangays in Talibon and Bien Unido, this province.

Recipient island barangays are Barangay Cataban of Talibon and Barangay Hingotanan West of Bien Unido.

With the turnover, the next phase is the full operation of the water facilities, providing safe potable water for the nearly 2,392 residents, a combined number from both barangays.

With this development, the tedious and high cost of water fetching activities among residents are now solved, as the facility is situated near their homes. This will also give a much economically friendly price.
