Some 3,817 rice farmers from Bilar, Bohol received agricultural inputs from the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) worth Php 4,576,489.50 to support the rice production of the province. Funded under the DA-Rice Program, agri inputs distributed to farmers were inorganic fertilizer (14-14-14), bio-fertilizers, and soil ameliorants (fermented chicken dung) through a discount vouchers.

After claiming the vouchers from the DA7 personnel, the farmers proceeded to the partner merchants who were present at the venue to claim their agri inputs.
The combination of these fertilizers ensure plant growth, improve soil health, boost nutrient availability, and foster increase yield of production.
The roll-out of the discount vouchers is an allocation for the dry season cropping (2024-2025) to help the rice farmers lessen the cost of production while aiming for the DA’s twin goal, which is to increase production yield and income.
The FDV roll-out will continue this week in the Municipality of Bilar, Batuan, and Talibon, Bohol.
