Four (4) Indigenous Peoples Organization (IPO) from Negros Oriental and Bohol attended a capability building training on marketing plan development held recently in Tagbilaran City, Bohol to equip the IP group with knowledge to enhance their agricultural productivity and improve livelihood through effective marketing strategies.
Conducted by the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7), through the Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4K), these IPOs were the Chapter Compound Multipurpose Cooperative of Brgy. Biabas, Guindulman; LUMAD Mulit-purpose Cooperative of Brgy. Taytay, Duero; Cantaub Visayan Eskaya Farmers Association of Brgy. Cantaub, Sierra Bullones; and the Candabong Ancestral Land Farmers Association of Manjuyod, Negros Oreintal.
Martin Balaba, the chairperson of LUMAD MPC, shared his learnings from the training and how it will help their association, saying “aron sa pagpalig-on sa among kapunungan, dako kaayo ang ikatabang ang seven (7) Component of Marketing Plan, which are the Executive Summary, Description of the business, Target market, Marketing Strategies, Budget, Timeline, and Evaluation), kay aron mapalambo ug mapasabot nako sa akong kapunungan sa sakto nga paghan-ay aron ang produkto sa kooperatiba. Naa nay basihan unsaon pagpadagan sa negosyo aron mapalambo ang kita sa among komunidad sa indigenous people sa Taytay.”
