Participants of the Feedbacking Workshop on the FY 2023 Updating of the Department of Agriculture’s Public Investment Program (PIP) and Three-year Rolling Infrastructure Program (TRIP) had a field visit at the Lamac Multipurpose Cooperative (LMPC) in Pinamungajan, Cebu on March 14, 2024
The field visit was to expose the participants, who are mostly planning officers, for them to directly gain insights from a successful agricultural cooperative. LMPC is an active partner of DA7 and its attached agencies in the implementation of the various projects and programs.
Their insights is significant in the improvement of the execution of projects and program (PAPs) listed in the PIP and TRIP and in creating PAPs that are fit to the needs of our stakeholders.
LMPC General Manager Maria Elena Limocon, welcomed the planners and gave a brief history about the LMPC, its agricultural undertakings and other business ventures and their strong partnership with with government entities, particularly the DA and attached agencies.
Visited projects were the rice processing facility, bio-composting facility, dairy processing plant, tablea processing plant, Asian White Buffalo farm, greenhouse farm, pig fattening facility from the INSPIRE program, among others.
