IN PHOTOS | Some 30 plastic drums were distributed today, April 16, 2024 to the farmer associations and schools in the cities of Canlaon, Guihulgan, Bais and Tanjay, Negros Oriental.

The intervention, funded under the National Peri-Urban Agriculture Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA-NUPAP) is in support to the urban gardens established in the cities.

These drums with a 200 liters water capacity, Canlaon City received 7 units, Guihulngan City has 8 units, Bais City has 6 units and Tanjay City received 9 units.

In a brief interview with the Kapayapaan Anislag Group President Concepcion Mata, the recipient association of the drums, said the delivery of the drums are very timely with this El Nino. “We now have containers to store enough water for our communal garden, she said.

Other cities of Bayawan and Dumaguete will also be receiving their plastic drum this week.
