Director Enriquez was also joined by DA7 Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations Dr. Wilberto Castillo and Senior Science Research Specialist John Dennis Ranario.

The meeting centered on updates of the current programs and projects that will directly support the Municipality of Tuburan.

In her message, Director Enriquez expressed gratitude to Tuburan Mayor Democrito Diamante for his unwavering support to the agriculture sector.

“We [DA] are always committed to support the development of the Tuburan coffee, especially with a Local Chief Executive who is very supportive to the agri sector.”

She also conveyed the message of Undersecretary Cheryl Marie “Ching” Caballero, reaffirming the DA’s support for the Tuburan Coffee industry initiatives.

The DA management also had a brief discussion with the Office of the Civil Defense 7 Regional Director Joel S. Erestain and Tuburan Municipal Agriculture Officer.

In attendance were 30 farmers and National Government Agencies to include Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) , Office of the Civil Defense (OCD), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Philippine Coconut Authority, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) were present during the activity.

The briefing emphasized the continued collaboration to strengthen the local coffee industry and uplift the livelihoods of the Tuburan coffee farmers.
