Some 30 organic agriculture (OA) practitioners from the various municipalities in Bohol participated in a three-day training on the Preparation of Organic Agriculture Livelihood Project (OALP) Proposal: Capability Building for Organic Agriculture Livelihood Proponents, held on May 20–22, 2025 at Tagbilaran City, Bohol, conducted by the Organic Agriculture Program (OAP) of the Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7).
DA-7 Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez commended the dedication of the OA practitioners and expressed appreciation for their voluntary efforts.

Director Enriquez shared that the workshop will help more farmers to be certified for the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS), which will promote food safety and aim to improve farmers’ income.
She also commended a farmer who brought their children to the training, with the intention of preparing them to become future organic farmers and agriculturists.
The participants engaged in interactive discussions and workshops covering key topics which include the Overview of the OALP and Proposal Template, Project Development Cycle, Stakeholder Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Problem Tree Analysis, Objective Tree Analysis, Solution Path Formulation. At the end of the sessions, participants presented their outputs, applying what they had learned.
The participants were various local government units (LGUs) and Farmers Cooperative and Associations (FCA) from Sierra Bullones, Talibon, Garcia Hernandez, San Miguel, and Kapunongan sa Bol-anong Organikong Mag-uuma (KBOOM).
