The Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) in partnership with Filinvest Lifestyle Mall, conducted a Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) by the Coast, held at Il Corso, South Reclamation Area (SRP), Cebu City on April 25-27, 2025.
Some four farmers’ group exhibitors displayed their fresh agricultural and fishery products and by-products such as fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, cacao, and peanut products for the general public to avail at affordable prices. Among the exhibitors were the GRND Up Consumer Goods Trading, Cambinocot Multipurpose Cooperative, Pestales Agricultural Cooperative, and Carson Hills Farm.






In his message, Hon. Pastos M. Alcover, Cebu City Chairperson for Agriculture, highlighted the significance of KNP in promoting food security projects in the city, with a focus on urban agriculture. He acknowledged the comfort of KNP as it directly links farmers’ products to the consumers.
Thesbe C. Alonso, Vice President and Mall Head/General Manager of Il Corso, emphasized the importance of KNP in providing fresh, affordable, and nutritious food to mall-goers, underscoring its role in supporting local farmers and enhancing food access for the community.



Dr. Melquiades B. Ibarra, who represented the DA7 Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez, expressed gratitude to the private sectors, for being active partners for collaboration. He described the event as another milestone in the area of convergence, among local, national governments and the private sectors to address food security challenges.
Eileen Mae Perez, an exhibitor from Carson Hills Agriculture Farm from Borbon, Cebu, thanked the DA7 for providing the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with opportunities to participate in the Kadiwa activities.






The KNP was attended by DA7 Agribusiness Industry Support Section Chief, Dr. Anna Delza S. Barimbao, Market Development Section Chief Jenie F. Evardo, and Cebu City Agriculturist Arlie Gesta.
The KNP will be available until Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
