Some 25 rice farmers of the Bukidnon Indigenous Cultural Community Association (BICCA) attended a 2-day project orientation and technical briefing on agroecology and capability enhancement for the establishment of agroecology.

Held on March 18-19, 2025 in Banban Ayungon Negros Oriental, the training aimed to integrate farming with ecological principles and agricultural practices to create sustainable, productive and resilient food systems.
Jessie Villegas, BICCA President said the group was grateful to be the beneficiary of the project.
“Sobra ang among kalipay nga kami ang nakadawat niining proyektoha kay dako kaau kini og ikatabang aron molambo ang among pagpanguma. Tungod niini nadugangan ang among kahibalo ug among mausob ang mga dapat usbon sa among naandan nga pamaagi sa pagpanguma aron moasenso ang matag usa kanamo,” said Villegas.
(We are very happy to be the beneficiary of this project, it will really help us improve our way of farming. With this, we obtained additional knowledge and it will change our traditional way of farming for us to improve.)
