The activity served as venue for the I-PLAN and PPMIUs to examine, deliberate and know the issues and concerns, to include the bottlenecks and challenges that hindered in the preparation and completion of the I-PLAN’s targets.

Discussed were the I-PLAN accomplishment; SIDLAN; Value Chain Analysis (VCA) and Provincial Commodity Investment Plans (PCIPs) which are tools being implemented to determine the most suitable and appropriate interventions for the priority commodities of the provinces.

With her message on the 3rd day of the activity, DA-7 Regional Executive Director and PRDP-RPCO7 Project Director Angel C. Enriquez encouraged the participants to look into and update their existing PCIPs.

“I am looking forward that we could update our PCIPs, because there’s really a need to update the PCIPs, which we have been using for several years. There are emerging commodities which have competitive advantage that we could include in the list”, RED Enriquez said.

In addition, Director Enriquez encouraged the PPMIUs to strengthen their PRDP organization and make its best to propose more projects.

The PPMIU participants were detailed PRDP staff and at the same time key personnel of their respective provincial government.
