IN PHOTOS | Three project sites were visited by the members of the Department of Agriculture-7’s Management Committee (DA7 MANCOM), led by Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez and the two Regional Technical Directors Cirilo Namoc and Wilberto Castillo, during the two days MANCOM activities.
The first visit was the farm diversification project of DA7’s Siquijor Research Development Center (SRDC) in Caipilan, Siquijor with commodities on mango, native swine and chicken, watermelon and red onions.
They also visited the Tubod Vegetable Growers Association (TVGA), an established AMIA Village in San Juan, Siquijor under the DA7’s Adaptation Initiative in Agriculture Mitigation (AMIA). Project established were the Balhug spring development, the technology demonstration on bulb onion production, their vegetable and red onions production, jolohano chicken, and the ready to lay chicken (egg production.
Another visited project was the AA abattoir facility in Brgy. Nonoc, Larena, funded under the DA-Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), Provincial Government of Siquijor and the municipality of Larena.
