The Barangay Hingotanan West Potable Water System (PWS) in Bien Unido, Bohol is now at 100% completion and underwent final inspection from an inspectorate team consisting of engineers from the Regional Project Coordination Office-7 (RPCO7), Project Support Office Visayas (PSO-Visayas), Provincial Project Management Implementing Unit of Bohol (PPMIU-Bohol) Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), representatives from the municipal local government of Talibon and Bien Unido as well as the project contractor.

Powered with some 28 solar panels and a reverse osmosis technology, this P12.73 million desalination facility can produce 22,000 liters of potable water per day for the 1,390 households.

A four-hour commissioning of the facility was held as a way to ensure the porosity of water (how much space there could be to hold underground water) and check for possible leakages prior to turnover.

Meanwhile, the Barangay Cataban potable water system in Talibon, Bohol, is now substantially completed and is expected to undergo final inspection come April 2024.

A similar commissioning activity will also be scheduled for the said facility.
