The Research Division plans and carries out researches on agricultural crops and livestock which have or may have economic value in Central Visayas. This division is mandated to ensure that all agricultural researches is coordinated and undertaken for maximum utility to agriculture. It is charged with developing regional agricultural research plans and priorities in accordance with the national development goals and objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the formulation of the Regional Integrated Research for Development/Extension Agenda and Programs (RIRDEAP)

Plan and carry out research and development activities on agricultural crops and livestock based on regional priorities

Ensure that agricultural research in the region is coordinated and undertaken for maximum utility to agriculture

Tap farmers, farmers’ organizations and research institutions especially the state colleges and universities in the conduct of research for use of the Department and its clientele.
