Farmers’ groups in Cebu City received agricultural inputs from the Department of Agriculture- Central Visayas (DA7) today, August 7, 2025. WATCH | The Department of Agriculture-Central Visayas (DA7) participated in the conducted Service Karaban of the Cebu Province held in Pilar town. Karaban, an initiative of the Cebu government to deliver necessary government services — national and local, directly to the people of Pilar.
Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro attended the rally and expressed her happiness that she was back in Pilar. DA7 services provided are seed-free, biological control agents such as Metarhizium, Beauveria, and Earwigs, as well as books.

IN PHOTOS | Department of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary for Livestock, Dr. Constante Palabrica, together with Dr. Benjamin Albarece, DA-Assistant Secretary for Ruminants; Dr. Christian Daquigan, Director of the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), and Dr. Maria Dinah, Center Director of the Philippine Carabao Center at Ubay Stock Farm (PCC-USF) paid a courtesy visit to the Cebu Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro, discussing the DA’s programs and projects with focus on developing the livestock and poultry sector in Cebu. Key initiatives discussed include the expansion of the dairy herd, support for livelihood enterprises through animal modules (comprising animal stocks, feeds, veterinary drugs and biologics, and farm equipment), and the strengthening of animal health programs — all designed to benefit livestock raisers across the province.
The DA officials expressed full support to the Governor’s advocacy on food security and safety for a sustainable and resilient agriculture sector in the province.
